TLAP statement on 'do not resuscitate' decisions during Covid-19 pandemic

Added on

The CQC’s review of ‘do not attempt cardiopulmonary resuscitation’ decisions during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic makes for uncomfortable reading, revealing poor and inconsistent practice around DNACPR decisions.

We are pleased that TLAP’s Making it Real statements on what good person-centred care and support looks like were used as part of the review’s lines of enquiry.

It is vital now that the recommendations are speedily turned into action so that everyone can experience a person-centred approach within a clear and consistent framework.
