Norman Lamb was appointed Minister of State at the Department of Health in September 2012. He has been the Liberal Democrat MP for North Norfolk since 2001. Norman has held various positions in the Liberal Democrat party including Liberal Democrat Shadow Secretary of State for Health, 2006 to 2010. In May 2010 he was appointed Assistant Government Whip, as well as Chief Parliamentary and Political Adviser and Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Leader of the Liberal Democrats and Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg.
As Minister of State for Care and Support, his responsibilities include: older people, dementia, local government, adult social care, carers, end of life care, mental health services and prison services.
