Co-operative models of care are demonstrating value and impact in forging a meaningful shift towards community-based care and support. This is a knowledge sharing webinar for commissioners who want to learn about working with co-ops and community businesses in their area.

We’ll hear from:

  • Jonathan Downs, Corporate Policy Lead at Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council. Jonathan has chaired the Co-operative Councils’ Innovation Network’s Officer Group for over five years, commissioning projects to develop Greater Manchester’s co-operative economy.
  • Martin Walker, Policy Advisor at TLAP will also discuss his experience with setting up a co-op.
  • A member of the Procurement Team at Islington Borough Council will talk about developing a procurement strategy which can ensure fairness but also opportunity for difference sized and types of providers.

Jonathan, Martin and the representative from Islington Borough Council will also be answering some pre-submitted questions from the participants of our Co-op Community of Practice.

This event is aimed at commissioners, transformation roles, and other people working in commissioning.
