Personal workforce budgets
TLAP is working with partner Skills for Care to look at how personal workforce budgets can be used to train and develop the workforce (including unpaid carers) to help people with complex and/ or multiple social care and health needs. Skills for Care have funding to support this project (upto £8000 per example). They are also calling on commissioners, funders and providers of services to examine how easy it is to release the funds, and what funders need as assurance and evidence of impact.
Expressions of interest will be considered on a rolling basis until the available funding is fully allocated. Cut-off dates for consideration of these expressions are:
- Monday 9th October.
- Monday 27th November
- Wednesday 17th January 2018
- Thursday 22nd February 2018

Get yourself active - for early intervention & prevention
Disability Rights UK and partners are holding some events across the country to share the learning from the Get Yourself Active project.
You'll hear presentations from GYA partners about their experiences of developing better opportunities for disabled people to be more active by working with disabled people's user led organisations, social care, health and sport sector organisations.
This event is for you if you are from any of these sectors and if you have an interest in early intervention and prevention approaches through physical activity, personalisation, co-production and involvement and wellbeing outcomes.
