Hi,
You may be aware that Covid-19 direct payment guidance has been published. The guidance includes questions and answers. It is intended for adults in England with direct payments and personal and health budgets.
The government is keen to improve and develop versions of this guidance so it works well for people.
We want to hear from as many people as possible about this and are calling for your help. If you have suggestions for further Q&As, or anything that you think needs amending or adding to the Direct Payment guidance, please let me know on info@tlap.org.uk. All responses are being centrally collated and we are trying to reach as many people and groups (formal and informal) as possible in the very short time available.
If you want to respond, please do so by 10am Thursday morning (30 April). We will feed this in to the central hub so that we can respond quickly to the government. Your personal contact details will not be shared.
If you know of other people that may be affected by this, please do forward this email to them.
Update on testing for personal assistants
We are pleased to report that updated guidance, just published, confirms that home testing is available for personal assistants, including those who are self-employed. You can find details on our Covid19 page, called Personal Assistant Covid-19 user guide. Personal Assistants are specifically covered as key workers in the testing process and also in the new life assurance scheme. Read more here.
With best wishes
