Hi,

Getting under the skin of the social care innovation network

We've published a report the first phase of the Social Care Innovation Network, written by TLAP’s senior policy advisor Tim Parkin. The Network is exploring ways to support the growth and spread of innovation to create a new and better form of social care. Take a look.

Report: Getting under the skin of the social care innovation network

What is the social care innovation network?

Four things you need to know from the National Children and Adult Services Conference

TLAP were at this year's conference championing new ways of supporting people to have a life and not a service. Our partners and friends highlighted four key areas:

CQC chief inspector Kate Terroni championed TLAP's flagship product: "Making it Real– it’s what good looks like”

Alex Fox, Shared Lives Plus CEO, reminded everyone about the directory of innovations in community-centred support

We heard from Social Care Future, who unveiled their report Talking about a Brighter Social Care Future

Members of the National Co-production Advisory Group lent constructive challenges with a call to  “Be more pirate”- in other words to cut through unnecessary systems and processes that stymie creativity for giving people what they need. Read more and contact them for information on how they can help you.

Webinar: Understanding rights and entitlements in self-directed support

This TLAP webinar is now available, offering practical guidance for making sense of self-directed support in relation to Care Act duties. Guest speakers from Personalisation Partnership and Inclusion London  unpick the thorny issues  of making sure people have genuine choice and control. Listen to the webinar (1 hour)

TEC stories for care home providers and commissioners

Check out our new publication of case stories show how technology can transform people’s lives within a care home, produced with TSA and Care England. “The trick to getting the most out of technology is to shape it around the person, not the other way around”. TLAP chair Clenton Farquharson.
