Changes announced for TLAP staff team

Caroline Speirs, Head of Think Local Act Personal, has announced she is to leave the TLAP Partnership in April. Caroline has been with TLAP for six years and has served as its head for the past four.

Caroline says “After six wonderful years with TLAP, I have decided it’s time to step back, take stock and consider new horizons. TLAP is currently enjoying high credibility and an increased profile in the sector, and I truly believe that what started out as an adventure into the unknown has now become a central plank of the social care landscape:  the TLAP Partnership.”

At the same time, Linda Doherty, Business Manager, and a founding member of TLAP, will also be leaving to take the opportunity of early retirement, having given ten years to the partnership.

Chair of the TLAP Board, Clenton Farquharson has paid tribute to the contribution that they have both made.  “Caroline and Linda have worked unstintingly to make sure that TLAP is relevant, inclusive and has impact, as evidenced by our recent external evaluation, to be published shortly.  We will miss their commitment, drive and strength.

The cause of personalisation has been advanced enormously through their efforts, and this can only be a good thing for the long-term reform of social care as we move out of the pandemic.  I hope all TLAP’s partners and supporters will join me in thanking Caroline and Linda and wishing them both well for the future.”
