Jeanne Carlin

We are greatly saddened that Jeanne Carlin died on Friday 31st January after a period of illness. She will be deeply missed by TLAP and her National Co-production Advisory Group colleagues.

Jeanne was a warm, wise and caring person. Jeanne never hesitated to challenge the system with her personal insights as a carer for 40 years, and with  her dedication, sensitivity and good humour.

Clenton Farquharson, TLAP board chair says,

“Jeanne was a freedom fighter for human rights, and when I think of Jeanne and her passing the following lines from the poem by Maya Angelou come to mind: ‘When great trees fall, rocks on distant hills shudder, lions hunker down in tall grasses, and even elephants lumber after safety’”.

Our thoughts are with her family at this time, to whom we send our heartfelt condolences.
