Can you share an example of an innovation?

Taking an asset-based approach to supporting people is an innovative approach, and an alternative to the traditional service-based model commonly commissioned by councils with block contracts. They are characterised as using co-production and focus on building community/ social enterprises and focus on early intervention and prevention.

TLAP wants to collect as many new and emerging examples as possible from across England to create an online directory to showcase new thinking. This follows on from ‘Six innovations in social care’ which documented the best known innovations.

We invite you to submit your innovation. Please complete a one-page summary outlining its key features such as the problem your innovation addresses, the solution it offers, the evidence base, expected impact, stages of development, what councils/areas need to do and  what would kill it.

Your example will contribute to a body of evidence that will help inform commissioners and change practice.
