Call for evidence – people coming together to arrange care & support

Added on

There can be advantages when people with care and support needs and carers come together to use their personal budgets. Funds are maximised so that more people can benefit from what is jointly purchased e.g.  a group membership or the employment of a local Personal Assistant.

TLAP is looking for recent examples of people coming together to use their money to collectively purchase things to meet their care and support needs. We want to hear from people with experience of purchasing activities, services or materials with others, or from people involved in supporting this to happen.

We will report our findings in 2018 on the emerging evidence of the positive outcomes as well as the barriers. The information will be of value to people who use services, front-line social care workers and line managers, commissioners and contract managers, senior managers in commissioning, and front line social work responsible for change management.

How can you help?

Please complete our call for evidence if you have experience of being involved with or overseeing pooled budgets. Or please share this with others and ask them to send us the details. It’s just a short form to fill in.

Deadline for sending us information is Wednesday 7 March 2018
