Project description

Frazzled Café is a charity that provides a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment where people who are feeling ‘frazzled’ can talk openly about how they’re feeling.

What was your response to Covid-19?

As we cannot host meetings in real life, meetings are held online. There are three options:

  • a larger group meeting of up to 100 people hosted by Ruby Wax,
  • smaller group meetings hosted by our trained facilitators which are more similar to our original ‘in person’ meetings.  These meetings are capped at 12 attendees so that everyone has the chance to speak.
  • There are also smaller group 'Meet-up' meetings which are shorter and have a less formal structure.

What is the impact and benefit for people?

The ‘always on’ pace of modern life can be overwhelming, and now, in lockdown, many feel under more pressure than ever before.

Not everyone has someone they can talk to honestly about how they are feeling so Frazzled Cafe offers a chance to talk, be heard and not be isolated.

The meetings don’t aim to solve things and are not therapy, but a place to connect with people who can relate.

Is the solution sustainable post Covid-19?

Yes. Frazzled Café intend to continue this initiative post-covid19.
