Doncaster Council's Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) systems supply equipment for personal assistants (PAs) directly to people’s homes.
What was your response to Covid-19?
In the early stages of the pandemic, PA’s most pressing issue was quick access to PPE when caring for people in their own homes. Active Independence a local PA support service were inundated with calls about accessing PPE. On the 4th April, Doncaster Council provided a direct contact for the supply of PPE and a list of FAQs.
What is the impact and benefit for people?
Emails and calls were responded to within hours and PPE delivered usually on the same day. One employer said, they even delivered Easter Sunday and were extremely friendly and helpful.
