Joint statement from Caroline Speirs, Head of Think Local Act Personal (TLAP) and Clenton Farquharson, Chair of the TLAP Board on the NHS Long Term Plan.

"We are pleased to see a recognition of the role of personalisation in supporting a new NHS service model for the 21st century.  The commitment  to  rolling out the NHS Comprehensive Care Model across the country, alongside the expansion in personal health budgets and social prescribing is very welcome as is the shift in funding to primary and community care.

"We hope that the emphasis on delivering ‘triple integration’ via the creation of Integrated Care Systems everywhere  will ensure there is significant and genuine co-production with sector partners including people with lived experience and carers.

"TLAP now eagerly awaits publication of social care’s own long term plan, the Green Paper so that we can begin to construct a joined up approach to supporting a lasting and sustainable health and care sector".
