Building Community Capacity Practitioner’s Network meeting - January 16th

The next meeting of the Building Community Capacity Practitioner's' Network will take place at Friends Meeting House Manchester on Tuesday 16 January 2018, from approximately 11am to 4.30pm

The meeting will focus on evidence. We will look at how we gather evidence, how we use it, what would ‘good enough’ look like, and how we avoid getting caught in the ‘evidence trap’, whereby innovation stalls due to a perceived lack of compelling evidence.

The event will be similar to the last and well attended network meeting held back in September and back by popular demand will be Debs Taylor and Phil Walters from Creative Minds, Sian Lockwood of Community Catalysts, and Gary Copitch of People’s Voice Media.

There will also be a Panel Discussion to explore ideas and suggestions for feeding into the forthcoming social care Green Paper on improving the evidence base for building community capacity. We also hope to build in an opportunity to hear about some of the work going on in this area as part of the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership.
