Think Local Act Personal (TLAP) is an alliance of over 50 national social care, health and housing partners committed to improving the delivery of personalised, community-based care and support. It brings together people who access services and family carers, central and local government, major provider bodies, the VCSE sector and other key groups to work together to ensure people live better lives.
TLAP works to support the development of personalisation policy and practice in England by modelling the co-production of public services with the people who use them, their families and carers; supporting implementation of the Care Act 2014; and strongly encouraging recognition of the role communities play in improving people’s wellbeing.
Anticipating the publication of the Adult Social Care Green Paper and NHS England’s long term plan, this policy role comes at an exciting time in the development of personalisation across the public sector. The role will provide strategic leadership and day-to-day delivery of the Care Markets and Quality workstream as well as supporting delivery across other policy areas as required.
The ideal candidate will have in depth experience of the care and support sector, preferably with experience of commissioning and market development. You will be someone who has a passion for change and understands the difference a personalised and co-produced approach to care and support can make
The role involves work at a national, regional and local level with the full range of organisations concerned with personalisation.
If you wish to discuss this role further, please call Caroline Speirs Head of TLAP on 0207 766 7358 or Linda Doherty Business Manager on 0207 766 7387.
Application is through submission of a personal statement of not more than two sides of A4, summarising how you meet the person specification for the post of Policy Advisor and full curriculum vitae naming two referees (who will be contacted only if you are short-listed for interview).
