Community Catalysts have launched a clear and practical marketing guide, aimed at people running small community enterprises and ventures that offer health, care and wellbeing services and supports to other people. The guide is written in partnership with the University of Worcester.

Funding opens for individuals who employ their own care
Skills for Care are pleased to announce that funding for training is available for individuals who employ their own care (individual employers) through a direct payment, personal health budget or with their own money, and their carers (personal assistants).
The money can be used for training for both employers and their personal assistants, in a wide range of topics including communication skills, British sign language condition specific training such as dementia or autism awareness and accessing a Health and Social Care Diploma.

Implementing the Mental Health Forward View
When the independent Mental Health Taskforce published its Five Year Forward View in February 2016 which set out the current state of mental health service provision in England and made recommendations in all service areas, the NHS England accepted all the recommendations in the report for which it held responsibility. This month it has published an implementation plan outlining how it will deliver them.
