The Asset-based area

Care Act: One year on report
Carers Trusts new report “Care Act for carers: One year on”(PDF) showed that there are some carers who are getting good support under the Care Act, as well as some examples of good practice.
The report also showed what needs to improve. Amongst the recommendations was a call to councils, Local Government Association (LGA) and the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS) to review their systems for monitoring progress in implementing the Act; as well as further investment and training for social workers and assessors.

All Party Parliamentary Group on Arts, Health and Wellbeing
As part of an Inquiry into the role of the arts in health and social care, the All Party Parliamentary Group for Arts, Health and Wellbeing is seeking examples of the arts and culture influencing health and wellbeing outcomes.
Submissions are invited of up to 1,000 words, arranged according to headings outlined in the guidance. The deadline for submissions is Friday 19 August 2016.
