A view from the top
“I don’t think anyone needs a crystal ball to make headline projections for social care over the next decade. Doing things the way we do them now will not be sustainable with more demand and limited resources, which many people who use services would say is a potential opportunity”.

Sustainability and transformation plan guidance
NHS bodies have released guidance on how sustainability and transformation plan (STP) leaders should engage and consult patients and the public. Most areas will be expected to publish their plans, for more formal engagement, between late October and the end of the year. Every area, however, will be working to a different timeframe, based on individual circumstances and progression to date. It is important to consult local government partners for advice on how to engage local politicians and the public.
