  • Sibling carers of children and young people with a terminal or life
    The siblings of children and young people with a life threatening or terminal illness often find themselves in the role of a carer to their ill brother or sister. This can be on an informal basis (for example being with the sibling whilst parents go out to the shops) or require more intense support (for example giving medicine, helping with moving needs etc).
  • Carers' Care Co-ordination Pilot
    This report is based on a pilot project that looks at changing the way we assess substance misusers at the point of presentation to treatment services. The project seeks to identify hidden adult carers (including kinship carers) and route them into specialist support services and statutory carers' assessments where indicated.
