North East Quality Standards in Non-regulated Services
Added: 03/08/2010
This project will develop quality standards for non regulated services to provide a regional framework and a consistent approach for commissioners, service users, family carers and care managers to monitor service improvements and maximise efficiencies.
The Quality Standards Framework will complement all Councils monitoring and reviewing functions with a strong focus on service user and carer involvement and personalised outcomes as core determinants of quality, reliability and effectiveness.
Objectives
- The development of a regional accreditation system through the Quality Standards Framework for non regulated services
- A process to passport accredited providers to reduce bureaucracy and improve efficient commissioning
The above objectives will support the delivery of quality services through primary and secondary prevention/early intervention provision which has the potential to deliver efficiency savings
