    The siblings of children and young people with a life threatening or terminal illness often find themselves in the role of a carer to their ill brother or sister. This can be on an informal basis (for example being with the sibling whilst parents go out to the shops) or require more intense support (for example giving medicine, helping with moving needs etc).
