  • Nottingham City - Disability Direct

    There's a New User Led Organisation in Town! DDN17 August 2010 saw the culmination of 7 months hard work in the form of the launch of Disability Direct Nottingham, a Centre for Independent Living. The first step on this exciting journey actually began in Newark where the regional Personalisation Programme Roadshow to launch the User Led Organisation (ULO) regional development programme brought together representatives from The Disability Syndicate, based in Derby and officers from Nottingham City Council.

  • Co-production Day, June 2009

    A very successful co-production day was held in June 2009, with over 100 service users, family carers, third sector and authority staff attending and participating in a variety of support sessions during the day. Each authority team produced an action plan at the end of the day and are now working hard in their authority to implement it.

  • Co-production: planning together for positive outcomes

    In May 2010 we held another successful co-production event, this time brining together 4 key partners: citizen leaders, ULOs, LINks and local authorities. We provided some background information and then had some key speakers during the morning session.
