The Richmond Adult Social Care Workforce strategy sets out a high level strategy to take forward with partners - it centres on developing the workforce to best help people live independent lives with choice and control over the services they receive. It is about having the right people with the right skills in the right place at the right time.

This document is intended primarily for local NHS and council commissioners in England.

Lancashire County Council supports seven young carer's projects across the county. This document highlights details of the Young Carers Participation project which provides a forum for young carers to influence service delivery, Peace of Mind service that helps ensure there are contingency plans that enable young carers to access the same opportunities as other young people, and the Schools Programme that raises awareness within schools and partnership working.

East Midlands Co Production Event write upA Co - Production event was held in the East Midlands region bringing together Local Authority Commissioners, Citizen Leaders , ULOs and LINkS to identify common ground and begin to work together in a four-way partnership to take forward co-production of TASC in the region.

The framework provided by the National Health Service Act 2006 means money can be pooled between health bodies and health-related local authority services, functions can be delegated and resources and management structures can be integrated.

This project supports the regional implementation of Objective 6 of the National Dementia StrategyThe project will seek to enhance the implementation of Objective 6 through the following high-level outcomes:Development of the market to ensure there is a range of services for people with dementia living at home and their carers that meet the needs, choices and aspirations of those who use them. Supporting existing providers to develop high quality services for people with Dementia Reducing the culture of risk aversion when working with people with dementia and reducing/removing stigma as a barrier to equality The project has the following objectives:To explore the experience, needs and desires of people with dementia and their carers based on a programme of engagement and a literature review of existing regional and national evidence.

This document has been produced for CQC staff who carry out local performance assessments of councils. It forms part of the CQC commissioner assessment guide for 2009/10.

This project aims to support local authorities to develop and enhance skills necessary to support effective communication regarding the transformation of Adult Social Care. The main input and facilitation for the project will come from communication and PR expertise.

Innovative Practice - case examples from the West MidlandsAs part of the National Delivery Support Plan, Jeff Jerome recently requested examples of innovative and interesting practice across all the milestone areas that could usefully be shared. He will be interrogating the data from the PPF Survey conducted earlier this year as one means of identifying potential examples of innovative practice and also asked regional transformation leads to let him know about potential innovative practice in our region.

The North East has developed a project dedicated to the involvement of local people in its work. The Adult Social Care Programme in the North East aims to deliver greater choice and control for people who need social care and to develop services that can meet future needs.
