There is much excellent work taking place in the area of developing strong and inclusive communities.
The Building Community Capacity network has been set up to bring together all those working in this space.
TLAP believe a regular network will provide the opportunity to achieve some important things:
- Develop the argument and evidence that building community capacity is key to delivering on prevention and wellbeing.
- Create a space which provides peer support and in which learning and challenges can be shared
- Identify gaps and synergies and develop a comprehensive picture of activity
- Explore shared ways of recording the effectiveness of community and asset or capability-based approaches.
Membership is open to all who are working in this area, whether that's at a strategic, policy or operational level.
If you would like to become a member of the network, please email Andrew.Parkinson@tlap.org.uk
