Micro services

What are they?

There are a large number of tiny existing and emerging care and support services that provide very personal, flexible and responsive services. These services work particularly well with the personalisation agenda.

Micro services face many barriers and challenges mainly resulting from regulations, standards, commissioning practice and other procedures designed for much larger providers.

NAAPS has been piloting an agency model of support for micro providers and have recently published a Practical Guide (3 different versions) which form part of the DH website.
