First Meeting of the Learning Network 26 November 2009

The first meeting of the Learning Network took place in November 2009 in Manchester. This event brought together teams of people from around the country who are already working on building community capacity and social capital.

The aims of the day were to:

• Share information about the Building Community Capacity to Put People First programme - what we are doing, why and how groups can be involved
• Talk about what community and social capital mean to each of us
• Share information about what each group is doing/planning Create opportunities for people to connect - at the event and between events
• Have space for people to explore their issues and questions Jointly develop future events
