Dragons' Den

On 28^th January 2011 at the Guardian offices in London, we held a Dragons' Den style event for 8 organisations that had developed successful approaches to building community capacity. The aims of the event were two-fold:

1. To successfully raise the profile of community capacity building as an essential not optional aspect of the future development of social care in the UK
   and
2. To help identify a set of approaches that are effective, feasible and applicable across a range of different local authorities.
